Beyond Academics: How Premiere Academy is Engineering the Future, One Student at a Time

“Five years ago, I walked in with a laptop and a vision. Today, I watch students build the future with their hands.” - Mr. Audu, Robotics and Technology Educator, Premiere Academy.

At Premiere Academy, technology is more than a subject. It’s a mindset. It’s how our students learn, lead, and create.
One teacher who truly embodies that mindset is Mr. Audu Nuhu, our Robotics and Innovation Lab lead. His story shows what happens when purpose meets passion in a tech-driven environment built for the future.

How it Started: A Vision, a Laptop, and a Mission
When Mr. Audu joined Premiere Academy five years ago, he brought more than teaching credentials, he brought a mission to make technology real, make innovation normal, and make students believe they can shape the world.
With just a laptop and curious students, he started laying the foundation for what would become one of Nigeria’s most forward-thinking high school tech labs.
Today, he oversees a full-fledged Robotics and Innovation Lab where students don’t just code but solve real-world problems and win national and international awards.
Real Innovation. Real Impact.
Recently, under Mr. Audu’s mentorship, our students won first place at the European Union’s 2025 Zero Waste Innovation Challenge.

Their winning project?
A solar-powered multipurpose agricultural robot designed and built entirely by students using recycled materials. The robot irrigates crops, monitors soil health, and runs autonomously, offering a bold solution to food insecurity and climate change. From trash to tech, from idea to invention, that’s what real innovation looks like. And it’s happening here, in our classrooms.
Championing Girls in STEM
One of Mr. Audu’s proudest legacies is the rise of female tech students at Premiere Academy. In a field where girls are often sidelined, he’s created space, support, and structure to help them thrive.
His efforts helped earn the school the Girl Powered 2024 Award for Most Innovative School. A win powered by female-led robotics teams and bold student-led design challenges.
“Failure isn’t the opposite of success; it’s part of the process.”
That’s his classroom philosophy. And the results speak for themselves.

Why Our Students Stand Out
What sets our students apart isn’t just technical skills but how they think. At Premiere Academy, we shape more than minds. We build confidence, creativity, and character.
Here’s what we nurture daily:
• Innovation – Students are given real problems, and they build real solutions
• Resilience – Mistakes aren’t punished, they’re part of the plan
• Empowerment – Every student owns their learning, their growth, and their outcomes
• Excellence – Not just in grades, but in mindset and mastery
• Leadership – Our students don’t just follow, they lead, collaborate, and influence
This is education that prepares students for more than exams. It prepares them for impactful lives.
